Marcia Carr is a native Londoner of Jamaican descent who’s a seasoned club DJ andradio presenter. Highly respected amongst her DJ peers she’ been an intricate figure to the UK Underground dance music scene for more than three decades.

With DJ residencies currently at the infamous London’s Jazz Cafe and The Cause, Marcia continues to develop as an artist. Her signature style which is all encompassing, as she always plays deeper, soulful and jazzier induced sounds: Afro, Techno, Broken Beat, Nu Jazz, Gospel, Disco, Drum & Bass, or as she simply says “it’s quality black music”.

As a bonafide veteran DJ Marcia has spun alongside and gained the following of some of the most respected names in the business with many becoming personal friends including Louie Vega, Kerri Chandler, Ron Trent, Norman Jay MBE, Larry Heard, Dave Lee, Dego (2000Black), Phil Asher (rip), Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson (rip), Bugz In The Attic, Marc Mac (4Hero), Gilles Peterson, Rahaan Rah, Frankie Valentine, Jeremy Newall, Seamus Haji, Teddy Douglas (The Basement Boys), Marc Mac (4Hero), Ricky Morrison, Bert Bevans, DJ Paulette, Kev Beadle, Johnny Reckless, Auntie Maureen, Bruk Up, LadyBugz, Jazzie B, Shortee Blitz, DJ Cosmo, Nancy Noise and many others.
